The Festival was held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm at 161 Vance Avenue between Second Street and B.B. King Boulevard (formerly Third Street). The event was held outdoors with food and retail vendors, games, an outdoor video gaming, and a main stage. Additionally, a VIP lounge was hosted indoors at Century House, an adjacent event space. The Festival brought community members together for a full day of fun, including a unique main stage for music, a large outdoor movie screen, food, beverages, gifts, and games like corn hole. Local restaurants, retailers and organizations were on hand to support the community. Proceeds from the event were reinvested in the local community through a charitable contribution, future activities and capital improvements.
The Festival is a South Forum Ventures event, a joint venture of Warren & Lee Holdings LLC and Powell Renaissance Holdings LLC. The Downtown Memphis Commission was a proud sponsor of the South Forum Festival.
